(Written by: Zelor) What Being Gay In High School Is Like In the 21st Century
In today’s modern society, being gay has become less a taboo & more a part of the norm. The levels of acceptance towards gays and lesbians has been a source of encouragement for more kids to come out during high school. But just because it is less of a taboo doesn’t mean that it is any less difficult being gay or out in high school as it was many years ago.
One thing that has not changed though, is the fact that we ALL have to deal with the tremendous pressure of coming out at some point, for some it’s easier than others. For example, if you’re flamboyant or you’re a stud you’d only have to come out to the ridiculously oblivious. For those who don’t have that luxury, coming out can be a completely different experience. It may be a walk in the park for some , accepting friends, family, environment, etc. But unfortunately for others it may turn their lives into a living hell. They may be bullied or even kicked out of their homes but regardless of the experience, the fact that kids feel comfortable enough to come out at such young ages show that the LGBTQ movement is headed toward a positive and elevated direction.
Once you get past “coming out” the biggest part of being a gay teenager is how your sexuality socialize and interact with others while you're still upholding your morals. One of my biggest morals is to always put more than just my sexuality forward. Even though your sexuality is a huge part of who you are, you can’t let it be all that you are. Be known as that intelligent, funny, beautiful gay kid, not just “that gay kid”. At school and at home you don’t want to be just “that gay kid”, you want to be that kid that has so much to offer that her/his sexuality isn’t even a focal point of who she/he truly is.
Another big moral of mine as a teenager is that, I refuse to befriend anyone that is against gays in anyway. The way I see it, it’s like a black person overlooking the fact that their friend is a skinhead because they want to fit in. And if I hear “faggot” or “that’s so gay” come from them, or anyone for that matter, I’ll call them out on the spot. If you have anything negative to say about gays, you can back that ass up because I want nothing to do with you. I am not going to let anyone speak about me negatively and still call them my friend. As a gay teenager, it’s extremely important to figure out where you stand with issues pertaining to the LGBTQ. community.
Just like straight kids, a big aspect of being a gay teenager are relationships. Depending on where you live, it may be extremely easy or difficult to find a significant other in high school. It has been, it is, and it will always be more difficult to be in a same sex relationship than a straight one in my opinion, but only if you let it. Yes you get the stares, the whispers, and all other forms of bullshit. If you’re not getting it at school, you may get it at home, with homophobic parents. But some way and somehow, you have to find a way to rise above it. I know it’s much easier said than done, but you will find a way to do it. You have to trust that the love you and your partner share will protect you from the negativity of the world. Prepare yourself mentally for the stress that comes with being in a same sex relationship. In addition, people will make disgusting comments but its your job to make them understand that love is love.
Being gay in high school has undoubtedly gotten better, however, it’s still unacceptable that gay teenagers have to endure ignorant shit...It’s unacceptable that some kids are bullied to death by peers or even their own families.... It’s unacceptable that some teachers stand by and watch. And.... It’s unacceptable that we accept them but not all of them accept us.

SFS relationships, how do you feel about it?
Stud for stud relationships are perhaps amongst some of the most interesting lesbian relationships in the LGBT community. Being that I have never been in a SFS relationship, there isn't much I can say about it. However, my opinion is that love has no barriers and if you prefer this kind of relationship, it is nobody's business to judge you.Adjusting my view
At one time, I argued that SFS relationships were wrong. but once I analyzed my thinking, I had to make adjustments in my viewpoint. Personally, I am not interested in being in a SFS relationship but I support those who aren't afraid to step out the box and be themselves.
If anyone has SFS experiences or are in a SFS relationship, please email me or if you have an opinion subscribe to my blog site and give a comment. I want to hear from you :)

YelzUfly (Bio)
Danielle Williams, born ( February 25, 1986) famously known as YelzUfly, is a female emcee based out of New Orleans. YelzUfly began writing poetry at the tender age of 8, influenced by artist such as; Master P, Soilder Slim, Hot boyz and JayZ, she progressed to writing music at the age of 11. YelzUfly's passion for rapping came when she went into the recording booth to record a track and heard herself for the first time, after that, she was hooked and has been rhyming ever sense. Danielle Williams began to form her image as a member of a group she use to be apart of called the Squad, when a friend replied to her as "yelz u fly" and after that, the name YelzUfly began to take shape."The Flight"
The flight was written back in 2004/2005 but was recorded later on due to personal discretion. In a radio interview, YelzUfly explained how the depthfulness of the track was based on family issues she had been confronted with at the time.
Mixtape tracks & live performance history
"speakers" "Flight" "Good bad ugly" "muggin" "vans and a snapback" "word" "right on" "star studded" "hustle up" and "this world". YelzUfly has also performed at notable LGBT events, such as the Houston Splash.
Future Projects
Look for appearances from YelzUfly on several mixtapes through out the year and an album due to be released by the end of this year.

Where Are They (PosNeg)
The 90's gave way to an emergence of hiphoppers thirsty for the spotlight, fame and fortune. Posneg was no exception. This group bursted on to the scene with fascinating catchy bassy playful lyrics such as: No Doubt, Deathlist and Riches. Some of you may not be familiar with this underground rap group of the 90's but others may be able to run you through their underground success. With tracks produced by Lord Finesse himself and originating from the same stomping grounds as Fat Joe, Big Pun and Kid Capri. This group was well on their way to success.
Who Is Posneg
Posneg consisted of Waltbaby aka Walter, Solex, Kema aka Americanboi/Meko and Lakenya aka sniper. Waltbaby,Solex, Kema and Sniper grew up in the rough part of the South Bronx, NY, with hopes of becoming not only emcees but also entrepreneurs. Waltbaby, the brains behind the idea, created waltbaby entertainment Inc. and soon began to scout for talent, eventually he came across aspiring artists; Solex, Kema and Lakenya and together they formed the independent record label of the 90's known as waltbaby entertainment. Posneg performed in some of the most prestigious arenas and opened for acts such as Lord Finesse and even Kathy Lee Gifford. This group embodied evolution and hope for the youth, in fact, one of posneg's very publicized songs was called "this is for the youth"
What happend?
Many of Posneg's fan's were dispappointed when they broke apart and even today, fans and supporters ask where are they now? Posneg's disbandment was a direct result of tragedy, disaggrement & unharmonious growth sprouting. Sadly, Solex encountered an early demise, after being murdered over a phone; Kema chose to study the bible and become a Jehovah's Witness, Lakenya obtained a scholorship to college and graduated with a bachelors degree and Walter continued to try to make the dream a reality, however, without the substance of the group, the dream could not materialize.
Where Are They Now?
Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate Walter, but I am glad to say that I still communicate with Lakenya. She's happily married and is currently looking forward to adding a new member to her growing family. And as for myself, I am unaffiliated with the Jehovah's Witness Organization and am currently representing the LGBT community; supporting and promoting real talent and real dreams.

iTIP_ RAW talent!!!!!
Some of you may compare female emcee, iTIP to renowned female artists such as: The real Roxanne Chante, Lady Bug of the digable planets and Da brat. However, like the other up and coming female emcee's I blogged on, iTIP is totally different. She delivers a vocal projection that stems deep down from the pit of her gut. yes, indeed, this girl is the real deal. When I first heard her remix of 6 foot 7, originally recorded by Lil Wayne, I was stoked. It's the first time in a long time, that I've personally and geniunely fell in love with the way a female spit. (realshit) Me being a former emcee/producer myself, I have a certain respect for artist with raw marketable talent.
About iTIP_
iTIP is an unsigned emcee repping, VA, NC and Cali and is currently working on new material. In addition to working on new material, myself and iTIP, have been flirting with the idea of doing a reality show about lesbians. This reality show is expected to focus on the real lives of lesbians living together under the same roof. (An Idea, soon to be in the making) So as you can see, iTIP is more than just an emcee, her talent stretches far beyond just that.
So y'all chck out her website @ http://www.reverbnation.com/itip follow her on twitter @iTIP_ and look for her shit on youtube. iTIP is an unsigned artist, so if you are a record label scouting for talent..its right hurrrrrrrr,<------------------

Its All About Stud Phamous (Update)
I am happy to announce that their is another up and coming female emcee, whose more than capable of carrying her own lyrically. Like her contemporaries, Dakinkykid, YelzUfly and Kin4life; Stud Phamous is an artist who is also a force to be reckoned with. With her lyrics being simple and yet meaniningful; style edgy and modern, this young emcee has not only the lyrics but the image that makes a star.
About Stud Phamous
Twenty something year old, Stud Phamous Originates from North Las Vegas and has been rhyming and entertaining for years. Ever sense she was a child, she loved and listened to hiphop, some of the artist that has inspired her are: Big Daddy Kane, Rakim & Mc Lyte, just to name a few. Based on this, I've concluded that her "digging in the crates" talent comes from her ole skool inspiration. Stud Phamous is also an artist who embraces uniqueness & evolution, so best believe her style is incomparable. And don't expect to find anyone with the kind of flow that she projects.
Stud Phamous is currently affiliated with Rainbownoise Entertainment Record Label, which is based out of Vancouver Washington/Portland and Oregon. The goal of Rainbownoise Entertainment is to project a positive and current depiction of the LGBTQ Community to the world. This is particularly important, being that we are still looked at as the underdogs of this heterosexual world we live in. On the otherhand, keep in mind that Rainbownoise is always looking for real LGBTQ talent, esp. studs, doms and bois, so if you feel you got skills, hit up there website http://www.rainbownoiseent.com/
In Conclusion, These kats are doing they're thang, producing quality music that reflects the times we live in but also reminds us of our forefathers of hiphop. It's time for a change y'all, so represent and chck out/download Stud Phamous songs: "Paradise" "Loveline" "All I need" and H.A.M freestyle @ her website http://thecloudchronicles.tumblr.com/
In addition, chck out they're new shit on youtube 1Rainbownoise "who dat" and "Freaky Deaky"
And look for future topics on StudPhamous and Rainbownoise @ Americanboi Magazine

YELZUFLY
24 year old female rap artist YelzUfly, based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, may be one of the hottest female artist to grace the streets of New Orleans. She is known for her steady flow pattern, classic but edgy delivery and stylish image, after checking out her website, I came to the conclusion, that the girl is going places. Not only is she a true and original hiphopper but with attractive qualities such as; humility, elegance and edge, I was beyond impressed and motivated to do a blog on her.I learned about Yelzufly via twitter, after she tweeted her mixtape, I immediately went to her website because I'm always interested in what new rap artist have to say; especially skillful artist repping the LGBT Community. I then listened to a few tracks and was beyond astounded, so I showed my support. One of the quotes I appreciate by YelzUfly taken from her profile on her website is "Everybody want to rap just to rap, I just got things on my mind and it just happen to rhyme."
Soon, this lyrical genius may be tailgating the success of powerful hiphopper Lil wayne whose also based out of New Orleans..Well lets hope so, the more we support and back talented and gifted artist such asYelzUfly, the sooner we'll have a rap artist who officially and openly represents the LGBT Community...Check for a follow up to this article in the near future, until then Y'all Check out your gurrrrl'z website http://www.datpiff.com/profile/YELZ_U_FLY, her shit is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few tracks I fell in love with are "the flight", "muggin" &"vans and snapback", just to name a few..

Toxic Love, When Enough is Enough
“We stayed together for the kids, I didn’t want my kids to grow up in a single parent home.” “I didn’t feel like starting a new relationship..’ was comfortable.” “I didn’t wanna hurt her feelings so I stayed in my relationship.” “He provides for me and my kids and I can’t provide for myself, that’s why I stayed.”
Obviously, there are so many reasons why people stay in toxic relationships. whether it be sheer complacency or financial woes. But should you stay with someone for any of the reasons mentioned above? The answer, absolutely not. Being in a toxic relationship is no better than tieing a brick to your neck and walking around with it everywhere you go. In fact, one source suggests that people with negative aspects in their relationships had a 34% increase in the risk of heart problems (even after taking weight, social support and other factors into consideration) http://longevity.about.com/od/lifelongrelationships/a/relationships_b.htm
So having said that, How do you know if you’re in a toxic relationship and if so, how do you get out
Toxic relationship signs
A toxic relationship should not be mistaken for a relationship that just simply need rekindling, nurturing and excitement. A toxic relationship much different from a dead relationship is one that offers no possibility of hope whatsoever.
Ex. If when your partner calls you, text you or the very sight of him/her sickens you, it has reached a toxic level. Constant bickering, nagging and complaining where no solution or aggreement is ever met is another sign. A toxic relationship doesn’t necessarily entail domestic violence but when a relationship has reached a toxic point of breaking up/making up and bitterness, it can lead to domestic violence. however, this article is not about domestic violence and if you are in a domestic violence relationship, I encourage you to get out of it and seek help. I also have an article entitled “domestic violence in the LGBT Community”
How to Let Go
If you’ve been in a relationship for sometime that isn’t good for you, chances are, friends/family have expressed that. You may want to get out of it but realize its a lot harder than what you’ve imagined. So, what to do? My suggestion, is to have a long talk with your partner, reason without pointing the finger. Remind him/her that you both may have added to the problems in the relationship. Don’t bring up the past because it will just lead to an argument. You both already know what went down over the years. After a face-to-face conversation (no text messages, voice messages, email, certafied mail, 3rd party messenger; PEOPLE THATS TACKY) preferably over lunch, not dinner because it sets a certain mood, let him/her know you’ve moved on. They may not be excited about the idea, but it would be cowardly and senseless to stay in a relationship that makes you feel as if you had a brick tied to your neck. After you’ve broken up clean house
For Advice on getting over a breakup read my article entitled “after the love has gone”

STUD TO FEM/FEM TO STUD TRANSITION
For many of us, before we became studs we were fems and vice versa...Please send in your before and after pictures along with a short experience of how you transitioned...
My before and after transition pictures
My before and after transition pictures
My Experience
My transition began a few years ago...prior to identifying as a stud...I considered myself a fem...mainly because of not wanting to be judged by my sexuality...I did the heels..the tight jeans..big earrings and all..but wasn't being true to myself...realizing I wasn't exactly a fem I started to identify myself as an ag fem...' played that role for a while and quickly came to the conclusion that i wasn't that (ag/fem) either...so I began to learn about the stud subculture and found that everything in my personality was that of a stud...no wonder my relationships in the pass weren't working..so slowly, I began stripping away my fem ensemble and started to adorn myself with my stud armor and I can honestly say I am a proud soilder today.
The purpose of this blog is not to perpetuate the idea of labeling...LABELS ARE DATED!!! however, the significance of this blog is to encourage all to be themselves and own it..
Thankyou for reading by: Americanboimeko

OMG!!!!!!She has kidsSSSS
Dating someone with kids when you don't have any, can be a beautiful experience or a nightmare...
So if you're in a relationship with someone who has kids and feel as if your under pressure to become part of the family or perhaps your partner never has time for you...what can you do?
If you love that person then you will accept the fact that their time revolves around their children. But that doesn't mean that you don't have feelings. Expect to come in second place most of the time and expect to feel as if you're being ignored. Raising children is an experience and one that you are now apart of. If your feeling overwhelmed perhaps it might be a good idea to express your concerns with your partner. Rather than pretending that you're OK with everything, speak up and tell her/him how you feel. When you do express your feelings, try not to make your partner feel as if her/him having kids is ruining the relationship. But, rather offer suggestions on how she/he can give you more attention..and be REASONABLE..PATIENT and FLEXIBLE.
On the other hand, those with children in a relationship, here's a few suggestions, try not to impose your responsibilities as a parent on to your partner, because this may push them away, if you two are married, then parenting should be equally shared, if not don't expect your partner to play mommy/daddy. Make time for your partner..there's 24hrs in one day..try to at least take out one of those hours for your partner..And lastly plan your evening..As a mother of three, I find that having a schedule for my kids and putting them to bed at a descent hour, allows me to spend time doing personal things.
So make sure you put the kids to bed on time or hire a babysitter, so that you can have a well arranged evening with your partner...And in time you both will reap the rewards of all your hard work...
GOOD LUCK ;)

Domestic Violence in the LGBT Community
Studs abusing femes
Lately i've been hearing about studs abusing their femmes...and I am completely and utterly appalled to learn
That this is an issue in our community...but it just goes to show how we're no different from anybody else and
that we all go through some of the same problems that other ppl who are straight go through...
Why is this happening?
The main problem is that sometimes we (studs) try too hard to conform to the heterosexual definition of
what masculinity is and as a result go overboard in being the dominiate figure in relationships....another
reason some studs abuse their femmes is because of insecurity and jealousy...not feeling sure of themselves
and believing that their femme will eventually leave them for another stud...they resort to violence to keep them.
In other cases, some studs just enjoy the power they gain from hitting their
girlfriends and other studs who abuse their girlfirends may have psychological issues...on the otherhand a
femme who abuses her stud girlfriend is no different..its still domestic violence...
Domestic violence is wrong in any kind of relationship.
What can we do to combat this growing problem?
Well if you know of anyone in a abusive relationship...encourage them to get help..be an advocate of ending domestic violence.Talk about it...speak up....if everyone speaks against it..this will discourage abusers and encourage victims to seek help..
